Combine and Strength / Conditioning Clinics

Saturday, March 28th from 2-5 at the Lake Fenton Middle School, LFYF will be holding it's 1st Annual "Combine Day"! Our plan this year is to hold our player draft before summer, so this is one of only 2 opportunities for the kids to be seen be their potential coaches. We will be putting the kids through a "Mock NFL Combine Day". Kids will be timed for speed & quickness, as well as put through activities that measure strength and agility. In addition, Lake Fenton High School players and staff will be in attendance to instruct football specific techniques. Blocking, throwing, catching, and tackling are just some of the things the kids will be working on.

Saturday, April 18th from 12-3 at Premier Indoor Sports, LFYF will be conducting a Strength & Conditioning Clinic. This is the final opportunity for all kids to be seen by potential coaches prior to "The Draft". Presented by Personal Trainer and Professional Body Builder Justin Fargo, of Fenton Township, the kids will be run through a series of "Circuits" created by and for athletes of all kinds. Kids will be instructed on how to exercise without injury, proper lifting/ excercise techniques, and teamwork will be stressed. Among the Trainers will be Professional Cage Fighters, Professional Motocross Riders, Body Builders, Fitness Contestants, and aspiring athletic and personal trainers. During this clinic, potential coaches will be looking for the "extras"... attitude, effort, willingness to learn, and intestinal fortitude (heart). The end of this Clinic will be a GREAT deal of fun. Justin and his "Crew" will demonstrate some "Strongman Competition" events for the kids. Afterward, they will have apparatus for the kids to use to attempt themselves, and do some relays to build teamwork. Bring your cameras for this one!

Cost is $10 per player. You may sign up at the door.  This includes BOTH clinics and a T-Shirt at the Strength & Conditioning Clinic. Please make sure that your child attends each clinic, as these are the only 2 opportunities for potential coaches to see the kids "in action" before Draft Day!
